Our Story

Lauren and Rosemary met in 2020 and had what can only be described as a “professional whirlwind romance”, realising that they each held the opposite skill-sets to one another. Rosemary was technical, meticulous and was enjoying building up her network of emerging connections. Lauren had a phone book full of old school connections and the Taurus knack for knocking any door down.

After learning that they each had a desire to start an agency, Shannon and Bloom was born.

Over many cappuccinos and a fair few cups of tea, they discussed how Shannon and Bloom would be a nurturing, supportive company, focusing massively on attention to detail and professionalism.

The team now comprises of 4 agents, all focusing on using their unique, individual skillsets and training to keep building!

CO-OWNER & MANAGING DIRECTOR

When it came to naming this company, Lauren and I were completely stuck. “Shannon and Bashford” made it sound like we were about to handle your messy divorce or solve a land dispute. Hence, Lauren is the Shannon and I am now the Bloom.

Lauren started performing at the age of three and made her professional debut in BBC television programme Grange Hill at age 11. She then went on to be awarded a full drama scholarship to complete a BA Honours Degree in Acting at Mountview Theatre Academy.

AGENT

I spent the first 18 years of my life wanting to be a lawyer (too many episodes of Suits and How To Get Away With Murder I think) until I discovered a passion for acting. The road to where I am is a wild one with many twists and turns (I’ll save that story for another spiel I’m not trying to keep under 200 words). However, this job allows me to bring those 2 worlds together.

Laura Brown

AGENT

As a self-professed theatre geek, being in a theatre most weekends isn't just a personality trait, it makes me a better agent. I know the shows, the creatives, the casting teams, and yes - I have a truly unhealthy obsession with the Jason Robert Brown back catalogue. That passion directly informs how I approach submitting clients, matching them to the right rooms, the right roles, and the right moments in their career, be that stepping into their first professional contract or building on years of industry experience.
